Xiao Zhan - once I had 2 teen granddaughter visiting me, I talked about Chinese dramas, but they were only into Kdramas. So true. I've noticed that many start out in singing groups, then ease over to acting and some, like Leo Wu, also produces and directs.
@@cristyrawks6325 I don't think Leo Wu produces and directs. Still in early 20s. But he has been acting since 6 years old and has graduated from the Central Academy of Drama. I do not put him in the category of idol actors.
But yes, there are a number of others who produces and directs as well. Many can sing very well, some rivalling professional singers though not trained in that field. Some actually were trained in operatic performances. I just saw that a young actor actually played outstandingly well in the recent All Stars NBA gig.

And as for idol actor, I do believe he just became one with his recent "Amidst A Snowstorm of Love". He has burned his passionate side into the hearts of women everywhere. This drama will win him awards and be the Romance power drama of 2024.
@@cristyrawks6325 Nah, that's not what we meant by a director or producer.. One is more like a travelogue just like plenty of youtubers. The others a short 5 min things (one is a school project). The other is a 1 min advertising video. But yeah, he will venture into those one day. Oh, I made a mistake. He graduated from Beijing Film Academy, not Central.
He's not an idol actor cos he can take more serious or heavy roles.
Idol actors are those who rely on their good looks and large fan base and whose acting is just average, some even mediocre. Most of the works are the same type.
Wang Yibo’s talent skills in dancing and motorcycling are what getting me further interest in him amongst other interesting nit knack skills haha. Love his competitive spirit amd great effort in everything he tries to accomplish ❤❤❤. Even his recent movies aren’t my genres, I have to commend him for branching out and not afraid to challenge himself in different roles instead of being typecasted.
Love ZX singing. He sings with a lot of raw emotion. His singing improved dramatically in Our Song. Love so many songs from that show even I don’t understand Chinese and without subtitle. And surprisingly he a was successful designer also ❤.
Since I saw Lusi in Oh my emperor, I already thought this girl was so pretty and acted pretty decent for a beginning actress. She will most likely be successful in future…and look at today.
He needs to compete here in America. I feel hip hoppers, krumpers, poppers, etc would freak out over his amazing talent.

Cheng Xiao is my bias. She has the face of a living anime character. It’s nearly perfect even without makeup. And she has the best body of any of the female idols. Of all of the female idols, I think she’s the first pretty girl since Zhang Ziyi, that really has the ability to standout in markets outside of Asia. In fact, she picked up a strong international following after Falling Into Your Smile.
This lovely commentary forgot to mention that she’s like the female version of Wang Yibo when it comes to picking up new skills. She learned those gymnastic skills after a few weeks of practice. She learned figure skating, including performing a layback spin, after less than 4 months of training. She could easily be the next Black Widow.
She caught my attention with her dancing..yes.....awesome...so talented!

It’s good and bad , their standard to be in one is very high ! You can’t just be good at one thing. Very rare to only know them good in just one thing. Too much pressure maybe but a lot of Chinese actors do possess all the talents they need to make it in the industry.
